Ithaca Pride Alliance recognizes that substance use is a nuanced issue, and people may be in different stages in their relationship with substances. IPA supports harm reduction as a legitimate pathway of recovery. Designated smoking areas on the outskirts of festival grounds exist to allow our community to engage in a meaningful way without being barred from the events. Every effort has been made to ensure that the designated smoking area does not interfere with the flow of the events. -
We will have volunteer staff available to provide basic services as well as to contact emergency response if needed and direct first responders to anyone in need.

While much of DeWitt Park is paved there are some areas where tree roots and ground shifts have made surfaces uneven. Most of these should not inhibit easy movement through the park.
However, the North end of the sidewalk along the Dewitt Park on Cayuga St. (East side of the street) has two uneven pavers with a maximum rise of 1.5”. These will not block access from the accessible parking but
There is also a maximum 3” curb and a grass divider between the sidewalk and the street where food vendors and performances are being held. ADA curb cuts are available at the North and South end of the block.
Additionally, there are paved paths to the curb mid-block - we are pursuing options to add a curb ramp to create midblock access to Cayuga St. -
We are placing all participants along the paved paths with the intention of facilitating those with mobility aids to better access
Tablers will have standard 6’ tables directly adjacent to the pavement.
Vendors have 10’x10’ spaces also parallel to the pavement. While each vendor determines their set-up. We are asking vendors to be mindful that the grass presents and obstacle to some attendees. -
Yes, we will have drinking water coolers available at the IPA tent.
