Ithaca College is hosting an event to celebrate the work of Nancy Bereano's Firebrand Books, the radical lesbian press published from a small office on The Commons from 1984-2000. The event will begin with a poetry reading of the work of Firebrand poets on April 18 from 7-8. It will continue on April 19 from 9-5. There will be discussions of individual Firebrand Books, information about their authors, an interview with the archivist of the Firebrand Collection at Cornell, memories from the press's final three interns, and Jeffrey Iovannone speaking on the need to preserve queer history.
